Computer Lab Website

During the first year I was in the computer lab, students and teachers were constantly bookmarking websites that they were using for their classwork. I realized that it was taking a lot of time to bookmark sites, and when students moved from one grade level to the next, they would have to bookmark new sites. We needed a place for students to go to give them one-stop "shopping" (so to speak). I wanted to create a website that would provide them with just that. So I registered with CNM for an XHTML class. By December 2009, the website was created for all grade levels. Alfred Elementary School's website (Maine) was my inspiration.

Ms. Rivera (4th grade teacher) is the host of A. Montoya's school website. She created the link from the school's website to the computer lab's website. The websites provide easy access to the tools teachers and students need when they visit the computer lab. They can also access the websites from any Internet access point.
